We've been busy here at Lake Literary Center! Several local writers have been attending write-ins at Lake Lit these past several months to draft, edit, and contribute magical realism romance stories to Carnal Alchemy Anthology, a Feral and Unhinged Publishing publication.

The prompt given to the authors in this collection was beautifully tactile: choose a material or an artistic discipline, and weave a tale of magical realism around it. It is a collection that explores the thin, electrifying line where physical craft ends and the metaphysical begins. From the sensual art of glassblowing to the sexy precision of woodcarving to lovingly painting a muse to life, Carnal Alchemy is just that–an alchemy of creation.

Join us for a book launch party of Carnal Alchemy on Friday October 30th from 5-8pm. This party is FREE and open to the public!

Snacks will be provided, and you can buy your copy of Carnal Alchemy at Lake Literary Center. Come and check out this collection of spicy, smutty, open-book romance stories, and enjoy the company of local writers.
